The Púca Procession: The Gathering of the Spirits. This authentic procession blends outdoor theatre, street performance and music in a wild celebration of Samhain lore, nature, ancestry, and the looming darkness. As light turns to darkness and the veil thins, so too will the visions of otherworldly, shape-shifting spirits on their journey through the original home of Halloween.
Fáilte Ireland, Meath County Council, and MPI extend their sincere gratitude to the talented individuals and dedicated community groups who contributed to the resounding success of the Puca Festival Procession.
We acknowledge the exceptional work of our Art Department, led by Brian Walsh, and the skilled makers: Aoife Kerrigan, Elliot Lawless Dodeman, Juliette Lawless Dodeman, Chris Moseley, Vaida Rasciute, and Georgia Ria Williams. We deeply appreciate the contributions of the ADT (3D Digital and Traditional Art and Design level 5 at Ballyfermot ETB) students who crafted the incredible Fomorians as part of their work experience: Tara Brady, Catherine Doyle, Eoin Keating, Coaimhe Kinahan, Alainn Meagher, Louise Leonard Lynch, Alex McKeon, Darragh Murray, Saoirse Murray, Libby OBrien, and Sean Sheridan. Thank you to ADT past students Daniel Byne & Jess Kearns for volunteering their time.
We also express our appreciation to Micheal O Connor and Megan Fitzpatrick from Dunboyne ETB who participated in making while on work experience. Thank you to Paul Mc Donnell for his generous advice and support.
