Members of Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI) will be hosting genealogy workshops on Saturday 31 st October.
These will be group sessions, where we will gather a small group of participants with a professional genealogist for an informal chat about their family history research.
The genealogist can answer questions, offer guidance and help to navigate those pesky ‘brick walls’. A group session allows participants to also share their research successes (and failures), which may prove helpful to other participants. The genealogists will also be ready to talk about how we document death in Ireland and how to find evidence of deceased relatives, on the eve of All Souls Day.
For those who are only starting their family history, one group will be dedicated to beginners, with much more guidance and instruction on how to start your family history, and the best free websites and resources for research.
Each session will last 75 minutes.
