Getting to the Púca Festival

Getting to the festival is a breeze with Trim being very well connected by bus to key towns and cities like Dublin and Drogheda. For international visitors, traveling to Ireland is a seamless journey by plane or ferry. Dublin offers numerous flight connections from around the world and boasts excellent ferry services from neighboring countries like the UK and France. Once you arrive in Dublin, the festival grounds are easily reached by our Festival Coaches to Trim and Athboy.

Getting to Meath

Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, or automobile, it has never been easier to get to Co. Meath and the Púca Festival. The Púca Festival is located within the town hubs of Trim and Athboy, Co.Meath.

By Air

Dublin Airport is located approximately 50 km from Meath, with numerous connections from the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Direct buses are available every half hour from Dublin Airport via Busáras, Dublin City centre to Trim and Athboy.

By Rail

Irish Rail operates return services daily from Dublin, Connolly train station to Enfield train Station Co. Meath.
Enfield Train station is located 25 minutes, (18 km) from Trim and 35 minutes from Athboy (32km).

By Bus

Trim and Athboy are connected to a number of bus routes operated by bus eireann, you can see their timetables here, there is also a new Festival Coach service available for the festival this year, providing transport from key hubs such as Dublin, Drogheda, Navan, Slane, Kells and Mullingar, you can see all the details on the festival coaches here

Complimentary Trim-Athboy Shuttle Service

This year we are proud to unveil our festival shuttle bus, taking visitors between Trim and Athboy completely free of charge.

This year in partnership with local link we have organised an hourly shuttle between Trim and Athboy for each day of the festival to make sure you have easy access to both of our fantastic festival locations. See times for the 28th, 29th, 30th October below:

Departing from Trim at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10pm, 12am, 1am.

Departing from Athboy at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm 4.30pm 6.30pm, 8.30pm 10.30 pm 12.30am

On the 31st of October the times are:

Departing from Trim at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 12am

Departing from Athboy at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm 4.30pm 6.30pm, 8.30pm 10.00 pm 11pm 12.30am

By Road

Trim and Athboy are both very well connected to the rest of the country by road via the following routes:
M3 from the East (Dublin & Dunboyne)
M6 from the West (Galway and Athlone)
N52 from the Northwest (Derry and Cavan)
M7 from the Southwest (Limerick and Naas)
M9 from the Southeast (Waterford and Newbridge

By Ferry

The closest ferry ports include Dublin and Dun Laoghaire (2 hours travel time by road), Rosslare (4 hours) and Cork (3.5 hours). If you are traveling via Great Britain, Belfast and Larne are worth checking out. See Irish Ferries for more information.
